napping upstairs,

snuggled, dreaming soundly

I hear your soft breathing and sigh–




I celebrate

sunshine, shadows, silence

meadows, morning, magic, mem’ries

my world.



evil, loathsome,

crippling dollar,” I scream,

“Nightmare, curse you! Always spoiling

my bliss.”


absolved, set free

gone now, vanished, dried up,

see! Nothing can make you return

to me.


I sleep

beside the brook,

and sense a smooth,

springtime, southern-blessed breeze blowing,

my way.
likes his lizards.
(Beaming, brightly at me.)
“Gigi, they’ll get you! So watch out!”

warns he.
