Every-Day Parade
Like a parade
without pizzazz
cars pass
one after another
in movie-motion
the garbage-bagged
broken window
splatters of mud
on the driver’s door
like wayward dough
on the sides
of a mixing bowl
a handicapped sign
dangling from the
rearview mirror
like a blue ribbon
from a prized
steer’s neck
sticker shock
still stuck
to the back window
they urge without
a whisper
coexist, make art
make America great again
paddle faster
keep calm and
carry yarn
save a horse
ride a Harley
choose your weapon
urinate on a Ford
remember who
you wanted to be
Praise Jesus
